Announces “PowWow Challenge” to Mobilize Any Enterprise Application in 10 Days or Less

ORLANDO – May 12, 2015 – PowWow Mobile, Inc. (PowWow) announced today that it is the first mobile application platform to transform enterprise applications to run on the Apple Watch. PowWow Mobile is demonstrating the transformed enterprise application, powered by Citrix XenApp, at its booth (number 504) at the annual Citrix Synergy tradeshow in Orlando, May 12 – 14.

To showcase its ability, PowWow is announcing the “PowWow Challenge”* where enterprise customers can submit their most complex and business critical application and PowWow will transform it into a completely native mobile app in 10 days or less.

“The Apple Watch is yet another example of the exciting shift in how enterprises conduct business on mobile devices,” said Andrew Cohen, co-founder and CEO of PowWow Mobile. “Our quick action to demonstrate an enterprise application transformed for the Apple Watch supports our mission to free the enterprise workforce from being tied to their desktops — giving them the ability to work the way they need, no matter where they are.”

In order to transform enterprise apps (rather than just mobilizing legacy ones) PowWow uses its patent pending Deconstruct/Transform/Reconstruct (DTR) process. Using DTR, PowWow first deconstructs the desktop application, breaking it into its component pieces and then transforms them for optimal mobility while preserving all the business logic and backend integrations. Finally, PowWow reconstructs the transformed components into a modern, native mobile app. The result is ‘enterprise application transformation’, a technology that can take the most complex applications, and enable them to run natively on any mobile device in 10 days.

“PowWow’s Transformation Engine doesn’t simply make enterprise apps mobile – we’re redesigning them – transforming them – to operate seamlessly on mobile devices of choice,” said Jonathan Kaplan, CTO. “Today’s enterprises know that mobility has already arrived for their workforce and it’s not a matter of when but how to efficiently address this. We look forward to working with our customers to enable their workforce to support tablets, smartphones, watches and other wearables as an extension of the phone to improve day-to-day productivity.”

PowWow welcomes any enterprise – no matter how complex its applications may be – to enter the PowWow Challenge. For more information on how to participate in the PowWow Challenge, contact sales@powwowmobile.com.
